Weaving Wellness (34 Gallery)

Weaving Wellness by Lohan Le Galloudec

I created Weaving Wellness for The 34 Gallery’s July Open Call, Reflections of Childhood.

Mental health and youth are close to me — while teaching in middle school for 3 years, I saw how a single moment of listening, without judgment, can help improve a young person’s path.

In this piece, a girl weaves in her bedroom beneath a night sky — a quiet metaphor for making the self. Creative practice becomes meditation; the cosmos overhead is the inner world where she can explore, choose, and become — simply happy doing what she loves.

The work was selected as one of 20 winners for the exhibition.
