In a forest older than memory, hidden among the trees are ancient gateways. These ruins, once powerful, were believed to connect worlds, allowing travelers to move between realms of light and shadow. Now, only faint blue runes glow on one of the gates, the last trace of the magic that once pulsed through the forest. The first gate still hums with power, beckoning those who dare approach. Its glowing inscriptions hint at forgotten wisdom, but no one alive knows how to read them anymore.
The second gate, however, stands silent and dormant, its magic lost with the passing of time, a monument to an age long gone.
Between these ancient gateways, the forest thrives. Sunlight filters through the dense canopy, illuminating parts of the woods, where nature holds sway. One part of the forest is peaceful, bathed in warm light; in another part, a glowing blue firefly drifts through the swamp, its soft luminescence an echo of the fading magic that once controlled these lands.
